Tourist Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee

The Tourist Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to Council on the use of Tourist Accommodation Tax revenue. The Committee’s work is focused on supporting tourism development, improving the visitor experience, encouraging community input, and ensuring that tourism levy investments provide long-term benefit to Trinity.

Community Engagement
Creating meaningful opportunities for residents and tourism stakeholders to provide input on tourism priorities and the use of tourism levy funds.

Visitor Experience Feedback
Collecting and reviewing visitor input to help identify what is working well and where improvements could be made.

Partnership Engagement
Connecting with partners who may support the Committee’s work through information, resources, or collaboration.

The Committee is currently working to establish clear operational guidelines, communication processes, roles and responsibilities, and a consistent approach to community and visitor engagement.

Advisory committees provide recommendations to Council. Final decisions remain with Council through the regular public meeting process.
