Advisory Committees

Advisory committees are appointed by Council to provide input, advice, and recommendations on specific areas of interest to the Town.

These committees help support community engagement and informed decision-making, while final decisions remain with Council through the regular public meeting process.

Tourist Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee

The Tourist Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to Council on the use of Tourist Accommodation Tax revenue. The Committee’s work is focused on supporting tourism development, improving the visitor experience, encouraging community input, and ensuring that tourism levy investments provide long-term benefit to Trinity.

The Committee is currently working to establish clear operational guidelines, communication processes, roles and responsibilities, and a consistent approach to community and visitor engagement.

Advisory committees provide recommendations to Council. Final decisions remain with Council through the regular public meeting process.
